Zimbabwe’s longest running festival of urban culture, Shoko Festival will be headlined by Afro pop sensation Nutty O and phenomenal globetrotting songstress Gemma Griffiths amongst other international artists.
The second edition of the Shoko Roast presented by Simuka Comedy promises a night of tears and laughter with outspoken Norton MP Temba Mliswa offering himself to be “roasted”. Mliswa who has admitted to fathering over 18 children, will be the centre stage of the roast set to take place during the Shoko Festival on the 30th of September at Reps Theatre from 6pm-8pm in Harare.
Zimbabwe’s top urban culture festival, Shoko Festival is set to be streamed live from Bulawayo and Harare and as usual is running for seven days from September 21.
They just don’t call him ‘Musalala’ for nothing. Urban groover Enock Munhenga, better known by the moniker ExQ, put up polished at Shoko festival held at the Zimbabwe Museum of Human Sciences.
The popular Shoko Festival, one of the country’s fastest-growing international festivals, begins tomorrow. The show which is in its seventh year running is billed to take place under the theme “YOUtopia”. It will run for three days and will see local acts sharing the stage with invited international stars.
