Charamba apologises to detained CNN crew
HARARE – President Robert Mugabe’s spokesman, George Charamba, has apologised profusely to a CNN news crew that was harassed by police last week – to avert a diplomatic disaster as the SADC summit opened in Windhoek on Friday. CNN journalist, Robyn Curnow and her cameraperson, Shevan Rayson were stopped from filming and briefly detained by overzealous police officers.
