HARARE – President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large, Uebert Angel, was on Friday honoured at the Zimbabwe Business Awards (ZIBA) held in Harare on Friday night.
HARARE – Multi Millionaire businessman Phillip Chiyangwa on Friday visited Ambassador Uebert Angel’s 6 400-seater Harare Hippodrome and spent time with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large.
The founder and leader of the Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church Prophet Shepherd Bushiri celebrated his 41st birthday on Saturday during a party attended by celebrities and government ministers from across the African continent.
The just ended festive season in Zimbabwe was a busy time for most churches with packed programmes to celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ and welcome in a New Year.
Spirit Embassy: The Good News Church led by its prominent founder Prophet Uebert Angel, certainly take their annual Exodus Night very seriously as they cross members over into the New Year.
But it was not just Exodus Night on 31 December 2023, the church had what they billed as Exodus Season, made up of seven events rolled through the holiday period.
HARARE – Over 15 000 people are expected to throng the Harare Hippodrome on the 31st of December for Exodus Night, a yearly event by the Spirit Embassy: GoodNews Church, to cross members over into the New Year.
Prophet Uebert Angel, the founder and leader of the church, is on record explaining the concept saying; “It’s paramount that you do not spend your NEW YEAR’s eve outside God’s house. New Year’s Eve is always a day you party with God.”

President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s envoy and ambassador at large to Europe and the Americas, Uebert Angel was in Eswatini over the weekend where he met King Mswati III.
The President of the Pan-African Parliament (PAP), Zimbabwe’s Chief Fortune Charumbira, has broken his silence and confirmed the appointment of Uebert Angel as the organisation’s Ambassador for Interfaith Dialogue and Humanitarian Affairs.
Presidential spokesman George Charamba has dismissed claims that Prophet Uebert Angel has been stripped of his diplomatic passport and title.
The Office of Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large (OPEAAL), has responded to the Al Jazeera documentary which alleged that Prophet Uebert Angel is involved in money laundering and gold smuggling and is part of the “gold mafia”.

Ambassador Uebert Angel has offered his condolences following the death of UK based law lecturer Dr Alex Magaisa describing him as an “intellectual giant who played a key role among others in contributing to the current constitution that is being used in Zimbabwe.”
