The new Air Zimbabwe board led by Mr Valentine Sinemane is pushing for the arrest and specification of five senior managers implicated in the aviation insurance scam in an attempt to trace and recover $10 million the national airline was defrauded.
Police received a criminal report on the $10 million Air Zimbabwe insurance fraud involving top management and a copy of an audit report in December last year but did nothing, it was revealed yesterday.
HARARE – A forensic audit report on Air Zimbabwe’s aviation insurance has implicated senior managers in the looting of nearly US$11 million over a four-year period between 2009 and 2013.
