Policeman fired for listening to MDC-T song

A popular MDC-T song, Simudza Ngerengere, by parliamentarian Paul Madzore has landed a senior cop into trouble. Assistant Inspector Tedious Chisango was fired from the force on allegations of playing the MDC song and “teaching police recruits on regime change.”

Senior cop evicted for playing MDC-T songs

A senior police officer was on Friday forcibly evicted from her home at the Ntabazinduna police camp 40 km outside Bulawayo following accusations she is an MDC-T sympathizer and regularly plays MDC-T party songs.

The Zimbabwe Lawyers for Human Rights says it is perturbed by the malicious actions of representatives of the Attorney General’s Office who invoked Section 121 of the Criminal Procedure and Evidence Act to suspend bail to Zimbabwe Standard newspaper reporter Nqobani Ndlovu. He is facing dubious charges of criminal defamation.
