He obviously heard about how piracy is growing back home when he was in the United States, but he did not know about the alarming level at which the evil is galloping away. David Mubaiwa, the famous Sabhuku Vharazipi character in the drama by the same name, made a surprise appearance at the Harare magistrates’ courts last Friday after apprehending two people selling pirated discs of Sabhuku Vharazipi 1 and 2 on the streets.
HARARE – A 35 year-old deacon from the Apostolic Faith Mission in Zimbabwe (AFM) church who pirated a local gospel musician’s music has been jailed for one year. Solomon Mbadzo of Glendale had initially been slapped with two years imprisonment.
