Armed robbery siblings to go on trial

The trial for the three Mupamhanga siblings — Musafare, Liberty (29) and their sister Leona (33) all from Hwedza —in which they allegedly committed three cases of unlawful entry and armed robbery targeting clothing, electrical gadgets and gas shops in the city has been set for July 23 at the Harare Magistrate court after the suspects have engaged their previous lawyer again to continue with their case.

End of road for armed robber

Another suspected serial armed robber, Alouis Nyamadzawo who had been on the police’s most wanted list for allegedly committing a spate of armed robberies after being released on bail pending appeal in 2019, has been arrested.

Three more suspected armed robbers believed to be part of a gang that recently raided Mashwede Holdings and got away with over US$100 000, R42 000, $14 000 worth of fuel coupons, two firearms and 20 live rounds of ammunition were recently released from jail on bail pending appeal in separate incidents at the High Court.

Armed robbers make off with US$70 000

Four suspected armed robbers allegedly pounced on three men who were parked in the Avenues area in Harare while counting their cash in a car and went away with more than US$70 000, $1 600 bond and other valuables.
