President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s administration is seemingly determined to go ahead with the scatterbrained plan to exhume the remains of the late Zimbabwe founding father Robert Mugabe from Zvimba for reburial at the National Heroes Acre in Harare. Investigations by Nehanda Radio established that the construction of a mausoleum where Mugabe’s remains are supposed to be reburied at the national shrine are now complete.
Ken Mufuka: “The fear by the Mugabe family is that some relics will be removed from Mugabe’s coffin; these relics include parts of his body. Ritual performances which require that kissing and consumption of these relics will be performed by Mugabe’s successors, presumably in the middle of the night, naked bodies gyrating to the beat of drums, shadows only partially uplifted by moonshine. Judging from Macaphulana’s brief, such was the fate of General Solomon Mujuru’s body.”
A Chinhoyi magistrate has thrown out an appeal by the late President Robert Mugabe’s children who want to stop the exhumation and reburial of their father as ordered by the late Chief Zvimba.
Chief Zvimba, born Stanley Mhondoro, yesterday distanced himself from the plot to summon former First Lady Grace Mugabe to a traditional court to force the exhumation of the late former President Robert Mugabe’s remains, adding an intriguing twist to the bizarre development.
