He was the most promising reggae artist in the country while still with Mic Inity’s Hotta Fya Band. I Watta, having realised his capability to conquer, become big-headed and was chucked out of Hotta Fya Band and he eventually went solo.
HARARE – Talented reggae crooner Gerald “I-Wata” Masara, who escaped a 24-month jail term last year after he pilfered US$15 000 from his former manager, has been jailed.
I am receiving mixed views about the recent London concerts by our own Zimbabwean artistes who performed there in August. Wala Danga, my long-time friend who is based in London, tells me that there was a record turnout at the Tuku/Macheso show.
