Serial armed robbers arrested

Two of the country’s serial armed robbers, Spicer Takawira and Musafare Mupamhanga who were wanted for committing a spate of armed robberies, housebreakings and theft in and around the city have been arrested following a shootout with police in Glen View 7, Harare.

Four Mupamhanga siblings in robberies

Just as the notorious Masendeke family, the country has seen another family of suspected serial armed robbers involving four siblings from the Mupamhanga family believed to be the mastermind of several robberies around the country, including the famous Mashwede Holdings robbery in Harare.

Taj Abdul gang members released

Three more suspected armed robbers believed to be part of a gang that recently raided Mashwede Holdings and got away with over US$100 000, R42 000, $14 000 worth of fuel coupons, two firearms and 20 live rounds of ammunition were recently released from jail on bail pending appeal in separate incidents at the High Court.

Top lawyer up for $230 000 fraud

The trial of prominent Harare lawyer Puwai Chiutsi (50), who is facing fraud allegations after allegedly selling land that had been repossessed from him by the Sheriff of the High Court to Mashwede Holdings, has been set for June 20.
