Four private firms seek Zera licensing

Four privately-owned entities have approached the Zimbabwe Energy Regulation Authority (Zera) seeking electricity generation licences.When licensed, the entities will construct, own, operate and maintain the proposed solar systems.

Zanu-PF nullifies Philip Chiyangwa’s election

HARARE- Zanu-PF has nullified the elec­tion of Philip Chiyangwa as its vice chairman for Mashona­land West Province. He was elected on March 16 in Chinhoyi, beating former acting chairman Reuben Maruma­hoko. Zanu-PF spokesperson Rugare Gumbo yesterday said Chiyangwa will remain an ordinary member of the party.

Zesa disconnects two ministers over unpaid bills

HARARE- Two cabinet ministers in Zimbabwe are among thousands of individuals and companies who have had their electricity supplies disconnected by power utility ZESA Holdings for non-payment of bills amounting to a total US$450 million.
