London – The founder of the Girl Child Network, Betty Makoni, will on Saturday host an event celebrating her “Never Again” campaign at the Thurrock Hotel in Essex. Speaking to Nehanda Radio on Friday, Makoni said the event marks the second anniversary of her “Never Again” book which was launched in April last year.

LAKE CHIVERO- Eleven children drowned when an overloaded boat capsized during a cruise on Lake Chivero at around 6:30pm on Christmas Day. The boat, which carries five people, had 16 children and three adults on board.
