HARARE – Magistrate Tafadzwa Muvhami will tomorrow rule on an application by sungura ace Alick Macheso, seeking a downward variation of maintenance towards the upkeep of his two children.

It was a double celebration for sungura musician Alick Macheso’s former wife Fortunate ‘Tafadzwa’ Mapako on Thursday as she turned a year older on the day she received paternity test results.
Popular sungura musician, Alick Macheso Friday complied with the civil court ruling and paid $1 030 to his estranged second wife Fortunate Tafadzwa Mapako. Two weeks ago, Harare civil court magistrate, Tafadzwa Muvhami ordered Macheso to pay $1 030 to Mapako for her upkeep and the couple’s two minor children with effect from May 31 2014.
The saga pitting Alick Macheso and his estranged second wife Fortunate Tafadzwa Mapako took a twist yesterday when it emerged that the artiste had not booked for the blood tests to determine the paternity of their two children at the National Blood Services Zimbabwe where he is ambassador.
