CMED wins US$2,7m fuel suit

A private fuel supplier, First Oil, has been ordered to refund CMED US$2,7 million it received from the State-run transport entity for the supply of three million litres of diesel in a botched fuel deal, in which the High Court found both companies to have breached their own agreement.

CMED awarded tender to an unregistered company

HARARE – An inquiry into a $3 million fuel procurement scandal at government transport enterprise CMED has recommended further investigation into the scam after it emerged that the parastatal flouted procedures by awarding the tender to an unlicensed petroleum company.

CMED implicates MD in US$3 million fuel scam

CMED Ltd has implicated its managing director Mr Davison Mhaka in the US$3 million fuel scam and accuses him of trying to conceal incriminating evidence. Also implicated is the parastatal’s fuels manager, Mr Brian Manjengwa.
