HARARE – It never rains but pours for musician Allan Chimbetu following reports that he has abandoned his Orchestra Dendera Kings Central Committee band to be employed by his own son Douglas Chimbetu, as a backing vocalist.
The late Simon Chimbetu’s life was well lived, churning out songs that were inspiring and tackling social issues in a subtle way that made his music not only sweet to the ear but a treasure in many households.
