“Dendera United” is now in danger after the feud between Suluman Chimbetu and Tryson Chimbetu escalated in the last few weeks. The two cousins have not been on talking terms before and after the Simon Chimbetu Bash held in Chinhoyi.
HARARE – Simon Chimbetu could be turning in his grave following the politicisation of the gala planned in his name by the family, which is being turned into a mudslinging affair by Suluman and Tryson.
Singer Oliver Mtukudzi, will hold his farewell gig at the HICC this weekend in a show dubbed “Tuku’s Last Gig”. The superstar will share the stage with youthful but talented artistes Suluman Chimbetu, Jah Prayzah and Diana Samkange at the gig.
Peter Moyo made a surprise appearance at the show pitting Alick Macheso and the Muddy Face at the City Sports Gardens on Sunday. The “Young Igwe” as Moyo is affectionately called, stunned revellers by his unexpected showing and left them asking for more.
DENDERA music has given birth to its first female musician in the form of Miriam Chimbetu, the last born of the late Naison’s children. Miriam (16) is the latest find in the Chimbetu family and has defied the gender stereotype by playing the bass guitar with finesse.
