Many, perhaps the majority of Zimbabweans are Christians and Zimbabwean Anglicans cannot have been indifferent to the news coming out of the UK this week. The decision by the Anglican church not to appoint women bishops has led to a great deal discussion and media coverage.
The Daily News on Sunday today exposes the direct link between ex-communicated Anglican Church Bishop Nolbert Kunonga on one hand, and the police and President Robert Mugabe’s Zanu PF party on the other, in his desperate bid to take over the church.

This is chiefly because the Archbishop is responsible for problems rocking the church, not only in Zimbabwe, but the worldwide Anglican Communion wrties Dr Nolbert Kunonga.
Alarming developments are unfolding in our beloved diocese. Last Sunday a Kunonga priest forced himself into the house of our priest (Rev’d Muzanenhamo) at Mubayira in Mhondoro while he was on trek taking services.
