Controversial Australia based Zimbabwean businesswoman Susan Mutami has used her Twitter account to accuse First Lady Auxillia Mnangagwa and her children of looting millions from hospitals and the Zimbabwe United Passenger Company (ZUPCO) “using proxies.”
A month after President Emmerson Mnangagwa splashed US$18 million on a presidential helicopter in the middle of an economic crisis and grinding poverty, the African Development Bank and the Government of India yesterday donated 20 ambulances to Zimbabwe.
Government has suspended the purchase of condition of service vehicles for all ministers, with the money now being used to purchase a fleet of new ambulances for public health facilities, Finance and Economic Development Minister Professor Mthuli Ncube has said.
This ambulance which is meant to be serving the Mberengwa District has been off the road for over two years. In July 2004 the Ministry of Health and Child Welfare in the area received nine ox-drawn ambulances and three regular ambulances from the United Nations Children’s Fund.
