It is strange why job cuts at Marange Resources are not reported. On Friday 14 August, 6 employees were served with notice letters and one wonders whether is is a cost cutting measure or something else. We hear of NRZ, Zinara, CMED daily.
Employees have gone for months without receiving their salaries. Last salary was a slashed 50% for May 2015.
Also of concern is the audit investigation that was started in January 2014. It was highlighted in the Herald, Chronicle and on ZBC TV. The findings have not been made public. Yet the government is at the forefront of saying they are fighting corruption.
Can the nation be informed of the outcome of that audit. We have seen Air Zimbabwe and ZBC cases concluded and yet they all started after the Marange Resources.
Has the audit been concluded or not? Has it been swept under the carpet once again. Have each of those people been brought before a disciplinary hearing and what are the findings?
