Ray J reveals he only has months to live with his heart only functioning at 25%

LOS ANGELES – American R&B singer, songwriter, television presenter, and actor Ray J has revealed serious concerns about his health, saying doctors have warned his condition may be life-threatening.

The rapper addressed fans on social media following a recent hospitalization, stating that his heart is functioning at only 25% capacity.

In a somber video, Ray J said doctors told him he may not live beyond 2027, adding, “2027 is definitely a wrap for me.”

During the video, a friend attempted to encourage him to stay positive, but Ray J insisted he was simply repeating what doctors had told him.

Ray J blamed years of heavy drinking and partying for the decline in his health, admitting he often consumed multiple bottles of alcohol in a single night.

He said the lifestyle eventually caught up with him and severely damaged his heart, which he described as having turned “black.”

The singer also revealed plans to travel to Haiti in approximately two weeks in what he described as a last-resort attempt to find treatment that could extend his life.

The announcement comes despite ongoing unrest in the country and U.S. State Department warnings advising Americans not to travel there.

He ended his message by thanking his parents and his sister, Brandy, whom he said has been financially supporting him.

Earlier this month, Ray J was hospitalized in Las Vegas for severe pneumonia and heart-related complications. The hospitalization followed a similar health scare four years ago, when he was placed on oxygen after another bout of pneumonia.
