The beauty and the gold baron… Thuli Phongolo denies dating Scott Sakupwanya

SOUTH AFRICA – South African actress and DJ Thuli Phongolo has denied reports that she is dating Zimbabwean gold dealer and Zanu PF MP for Mabvuku Tafara, Scott Sakupwanya.

Taking to Instagram Stories she wrote: “Let me indulge you for a sec… You guys need to stop trying to link me to people I wouldn’t even consider dating… I am not dating Scott Kupa. The end.”

The actress’s recent visit to Dubai, where she was seen flaunting some of her assets, had led to speculation about who the new man in her life might be following her breakup from DJ Maphorisa.

In a post on X, notorious South African blogger Musa Khawula revealed that Sakupwanya was Phongolo’s latest love interest.

According to Khawula, the businessman had been showering the actress with gifts recently, including a luxury vehicle.

“Thuli Phongolo finds love at the arms of Scott Kupa. This comes after Thuli Phongolo dumping her abusive ex-boyfriend DJ Maphorisa. Scott Kupa who is a businessman and a ZANU PF member of parliament recently purchased a Lamborghini for his new beau Thuli Phongolo.

“Scott Kupa had previously dated Mihlali Ndamase before getting it on with Thuli Phongolo,” Khawula posted.

In December 2023, reports surfaced that Sakupwanya was romantically involved with Ndamase.

At the time, Scott categorically denied being in a relationship with the socialite. In fact, he claimed he did not know who she was while Ndamase also denied any involvement with Sakupwanya.

“Bandla angazi, I don’t know that man,” she wrote in response to a blog.
