SOUTH AFRICA – The pair of Gilbert Nyamanhindi and Joyce Manyara, affectionately known as the Nyathi Family, have turned a new leaf in their rags to riches love story, after revealing they now make US$25 000 a month from their social media content.

The two, who tied the knot during a lavish ceremony in December, have seen their fortunes improve recently, as they blossomed from a poverty stricken couple living in a shack to be one of the most popular content creating pairs on social media.

The couple’s road to fame and fortune started in the humble surroundings of Nyazura, before it captured the public’s imagination when they migrated to South Africa.

By candidly sharing their humble, real-life journey with the world through the lens of humour on social media, the couple unexpectedly found themselves catapulted into the spotlight, captivating the attention of a vast online audience.

The couple’s fortunes have improved since then, as they went from their humble shack to more comfortable dwellings.

In December, the pair tied the knot, at an elegant ceremony in Harare on December 29, 2024, which was presided over by Reverend Tafadzwa Chikondo of Christ Alive Gospel Ministries.

Among the esteemed guests on that occasion were singer Trevor Dongo, socialites such as Tyra Chikocho who is affectionately known as Madam Boss, Lorraine Guyo, Frets Donzvo, Ginimbi Lite, Mama Vee, Mai Jilimbi and Chipo the Trouble Causer, among others.

Recently the pair shared a video where they were inspecting a brand new Toyota Fortuner vehicle which they reportedly propose to buy.

In the video, Nyamanhindi sounds as if he’s giving the go ahead for the purchase of the vehicle but later posted a disclaimer saying the video was just for content.
