Uproar as Malloti “insults” Zimbabwean nurse aides in the UK in run up to Y2K show
HARARE – Controversial Zimdancehall singer Malloti Rose has courted the fury of many after appearing to “insult” Zimbabwean nurse aide workers in the UK, the same people she admitted she was coming to sing for during Y2K’s SAMA Festival in April.
In a rant directed at Ireland based socialite Ketina Masomera, Malloti said most Zimbabweans who attend music shows in the UK are not organised and were nurse aide workers with no money.
She also called nurse aide workers “Ma Zimbabweans echinherera” (Zimbabweans without money or who are poor).

The saga has infuriated activists like Ketina who are threatening to get Malloti deported on arrival from the UK over her past criminal links and her allegedly being a wanted fugitive in South Africa.
Its alleged Malloti has been on a South African Police Services (SAPS) wanted list since 2017.
According to SAPS records, a warrant of arrest for one Namatai Bhobho (supposedly Malloti’s real name) was issued on January 19, 2018, at the Wynberg Magistrate Court in South Africa.
The warrant requires her to be arrested and brought before the court on charges of armed robbery.
Fellow socialite Evidence Chihera has alleged that Malloti was part of a gang that robbed and killed a white South African while she was in that country. Malloti then allegedly came back to Zimbabwe to flee justice.
“Malloti was part of a group that stole from and assaulted the man. While others were arrested and sentenced, she escaped back to Zimbabwe,” Chihera claimed.
