Morgan Tsvangirai uncensored: Tamborinyoka pens blockbuster book on former boss
LONDON – Morgan Tsvangirai’s former spokesperson Luke Tamborinyoka, currently based in England, has written a book in which Tsvangirai talks about his years in government, his achievements and his fears and frustrations at working with the late President Robert Mugabe and his ruling Zanu PF party.
Tamborinyoka had sat down with Tsvangirai, just before he died, and held several interviews exclusively and specifically for this book.
Tamborinyoka said Tsvangirai even makes reference to this book in his last public statement to the people of Zimbabwe on 8 January 2018.
In the forthcoming book, Tsvangirai talks about many aspects ranging from his views about the Government of National Unity, the stolen 2013 election, the November 2017 coup, his decision to appoint two more Vice Presidents in the MDC and many other details about his working relationship with Mugabe.

In an interview with Nehanda Radio, about the book, titled Morgan Tsvangirai : Service and Sacrifice , Tamborinyoka said: “This is Morgan Tsvangirai uncensored, speaking about his time in government, his joys and his pain. It’s a must read,” he said.
Tamborinyoka said his late boss’s decision to serve in the junior position of Prime Minister though he had won the Presidency represented the ultimate value of service and sacrifice, which defined his politics.
“For the sake of the country and the people he so dearly loved, Dr Tsvangirai was prepared to make many sacrifices”, said Tamborinyoka
“Dr Tsvangirai loved his country and in more ways than one, he was a man of love. It may therefore have been epiphanic that he died on St Valentine’s day in 2018, on the day that the power of love is celebrated.”
Tamborinyoka’s forthcoming book, in which Tsvangirai speaks from the grave, is definitely set to be an interesting read.
