ZRP warn of attempts to bribe cops, witnesses and judges in Walter Magaya case
HARARE – The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) has issued a statement alleging that there are efforts to defeat the course of justice in the Prophet Walter Magaya case.
They mentioned one South Africa based individual called Albertina Saikonda who is leading efforts to raise USS$200 000 to be used to compromise police investigators, prosecutors, magistrates and judges among others.
Magaya, the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries founder was this week granted US$3,000 bail by the Harare High Court following his arrest last week on rape and fraud charges.
Magaya, who denies the allegations, was ordered to surrender his passport and title deeds as part of his bail conditions.
