UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo buys wife a Ford Bronco 4×4 as birthday present

MIAMI – In what appears to be a subtle jab at businessman Wicknell Chivayo who is known for gifting cars to his “favourite” people and influencers, US-based Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter Themba Gorimbo has bought a Ford Bronco 4×4 vehicle for his wife as a birthday gift.

The price of a 2025 Ford Bronco starts at US$41,990 and goes up to US$77,630 depending on the trim and options.

Gorimbo took to his Facebook page to share the news, posting a picture of the car along with a message celebrating his “supportive” wife.

“Happy birthday to my wife,” wrote Gorimbo alongside the photo.

Mockingly, the Zimbabwean MMA fighter added: “If I had won the fight, my plan was to take her to Mars semunhu anonditova pese pese.”

The post comes shortly after Gorimbo lost a fight last week, a defeat that drew mockery from Chivayo.

Despite the loss, Gorimbo expressed gratitude to his wife, saying: “For now, this is all I can do. Thank you for being my wife.”

Taking another playful swipe at Chivayo, Gorimbo remarked that had he accepted a car gift from him, he might have traded it in and “topped it up” to buy a Lamborghini.

Quoting from Winky D’s song “Siya”, Gorimbo said “but brain dzangu dzakati zvisina dikita rangu maoko angu siya.”

Translated to “he does not accept gifts that he has not worked for.”
