“I like my new look” – Madam Boss denies having ribs removed, speaks on surgery
HARARE – Social media personality Madam Boss has rubbished rumours that she had her ribs removed, revealing that her new look was the result of various surgical procedures she underwent as part of her weight loss journey.
Madam Boss, real name Tyra Chikocho, who has appeared petite and trim in recent times, has found herself the object of scrutiny as some speculate about her new look.
In an interview with H-Metro, Madam Boss said that rumours she had got her ribs removed so she could appear slimmer were not only wide off the mark but ludicrous.
“I do not regret losing weight after that surgery, and I like my new look. Let it be known, I do not know how you are going to clarify this, handiraramire vanhu uye handina basa nekuti vanhu kana munhu anotikudii nezvangu.
“To put the record straight, none of my ribs were removed as some are saying. Do you think it’s real for one to live without ribs? I am yet to know if one can live without any of the ribs,” she said.
Madam Boss said that she had decided to try surgery at some point during her weight loss journey. She said she had been left with no choice but to go under the knife.
“We have no control over some challenges; disabilities can happen, and we are left with no choice other than consulting a surgeon. I did not want to have fun with surgeons, but I had to face it. To me, it started as a weight loss journey due to the condition I had.
“After losing my weight ndakazowona kuti katumbu kangu kakanga kakungorembera. I decided to go for liposuction. Liposuction is a type of surgery.
“It uses suction to remove fat from specific areas of the body, such as the stomach, hips, thighs, buttocks, arms or neck. Liposuction also shapes these areas.”
The socialite said she had undergone more than one procedure.
“From there, I had to undergo a gastric balloon to remove fat. It is also known as an intragastric balloon, and it is a temporary medical device used to assist with weight loss.
“It’s a soft, inflatable balloon placed in the stomach through an endoscope to help reduce the amount of food someone can eat and make them feel full sooner,” Madam Boss said.
