A piece of my heart comes to life” – Jah Prayzah introduces daughter in new video

HARARE – As the build up to his latest album gathers pace, contemporary musician Jah Prayzah has shown a different side to himself, featuring his daughter Kayla in his latest music video.

Jah Prayzah featured his daughter, in the video for the song, Kuno, which was released on Monday.

The musician had earlier shared his excitement at the release of the music video on Facebook.

“Tomorrow at 10am, a piece of my heart comes to life,” he wrote.

The heartfelt track is part of his upcoming album, “Ndini Mukudzeyi” which is set to be launched this weekend.

Its release follows teaser tracks Ibvo and Fambai Neni, which have set an emotional tone ahead of the full album launch on May 3 at Old Hararians Sports Club in Harare.

In the video, directed by Umsebenzi ka Blaqs and Dir Dave, Kayla plays herself.

The release of the video is set to pave way for the upcoming album, an effort set to become another valuable addition to Jah Prayzah’s extensive and celebrated musical catalogue.

He has now has acclaimed albums such as Rudo Nerunyararo (2007), Sungano (2010), Ngwarira Kuparara (2012), Tsviriyo (2013), Kumbumura Mhute (2014), Jerusarema (2015), Mdhara Vachauya (2016), Chitubu (2018), Hokoyo (2020), Gwara (2021), Chiremerera (2023) and Maita Baba (2023).

After the local launch, Jah Prayzah is expected to take his music global with an international tour.
