SOUTH AFRICA – Less than a month after she announced that she was walking away from Zimbabwean businessman Kudzai Mushonga, South African socialite Khanyi Mbau has announced that the two have resolved their difference and are back together.
Earlier this month, Mbau took to Instagram to share that she had “finally found the courage” to leave Mushonga, citing that he had done some bad things, without specifying what exactly he had done.
In a dramatic turn of events, Mbau announced on Monday that Mushonga had since reassured her and their relationship was back on track again.
“He called, demanded I address the bad things he did, he asked to attend the funeral that made me mourn … I cried … He listened … Now I am in the car he sent headed home.”
Mbau also added that it was hard to walk away from a man whose name she had tattooed on her body.
“Don’t ask!! 🫣 he didn’t entertain my rubbish. We are adults!!! (listen don’t judge). Besides, where would I go with a thigh laminated in bold with his name! 😪.”
The couple’s on-again-off-again romance has kept fans on their toes since they first publicly declared their relationship in 2021.
Over the years, they have weathered numerous challenges, including a separation when Mbau reportedly left Mushonga in Dubai in 2021. She later made a song about the infamous episode.
