BULAWAYO – Controversial tenderpreneur Wicknell Chivayo has pledged to settle Highlanders’ debt after the club was slapped with a FIFA transfer ban following its failure to clear debts owed to former head coach Baltemar Brito and his assistant coach Antonio Joao Torres.

Brito and Torres are owed US$27,000 in winning bonuses.

The two took the matter to FIFA which then instructed Bosso to pay with its failure attracting a penalty that prohibited Bosso from making any transfers.

Chivayo has pledged to clear the debt, posting on his X account saying: “Bosso ngenkani! iTeam yezwe lonke. Babethi ayibulawe, ayisoze ibulawe sikhona.

“I will gladly pay this outstanding debt directly to the former coach tomorrow without fail. Someone please inbox and share the banking details with the exact amount due ASAP.”

FIFA has indicated that the debts will accrue an interest of 5 percent per annum until Bosso settles their dues.
