Over US$4m required for Rimuka Stadium renovation says Kadoma mayor
KADOMA – The Mayor of Kadoma, Nigel Ruzario, announced on Tuesday a minimum of US$4 million is needed to refurbish the town’s sporting facility Rimuka Stadium which is now in a state of disrepair.
The renovations aim to bring the stadium up to the standards required by football authorities.
Currently, Rimuka Stadium which is in a dilapidated condition, requires extensive upgrades.
“We need about US$4 million to rebuild this stadium,” said Ruzario during a tour of the facility in the Mashonaland West city.
“We are hopeful it will replicate The Heart Stadium in Harare or what is happening at Chahwanda Stadium in Kwekwe.”

Yadah FC owner, Prophet Walter Magaya, has pledged his support, partnering with the Kadoma City Council to revamp the stadium.
“We are committed to working with the council to restore Rimuka Stadium and ensure it meets the required standards,” Magaya said.
“As the Heart Group, we are ready to begin renovations as early as tomorrow.
“We have the concept of a B Arena and a car park as espoused by FIFA regulations, which fits in well with the available infrastructure.
“I want to ensure Kadoma benefits just like the other towns.”

This will mark Magaya’s fourth major stadium project, following his Heart Stadium in Waterfalls, the ongoing Chahwanda Stadium construction in Kwekwe in partnership with his close associate Shepherd Chahwanda and the upcoming Mucheke Stadium renovation.
