Outspoken rapper Holy Ten has delivered some brutal advice for Zimbabwean UFC fighter Themba Gorimbo following his loss to Brazilian Welterweight veteran Vicente Luque within 52 seconds of their fight in Las Vegas last weekend.
Following last Saturday’s loss, Gorimbo has been very active on social media much to Holy Ten’s annoyance.
“Themba uri wangu but take losses as part of a learning curve. Hausi Jesu, you can’t win everything. Don’t project your bitterness yekuti wakarohwa on the Zimbabwean youth.
“If you had won we’d have been celebrating. Focus on more training, more prayers, more energy for the next fight. You’re not a socialite, put your phone down and train for the next fight.”
Meanwhile Gorimbo who lost via submission in the first round after he was choked out with an anaconda trap just 52 seconds into the fight, believes he will bounce back despite the worrying loss.
“It wasn’t my day, but my time will come. Even if my life ends today, I know I have broken records and it’s hard to be in UFC coming from Africa but I am here.
“Today wasn’t my day but my time is coming again. I have fallen many times in my life before. This is just the start,” said Gorimbo reacting to his second career defeat.
Before Saturday’s defeat, Gorimbo has been dominant, recently winning three matches in a row including his victory by a unanimous decision against Ramiz Brahimaj in May.

He say always been active online. So now that he has lost a fight he is no longer training and overdoing social media? People. Lets learn to accept defeat in sports. Its a 50/50 btn defeat and victory.
Some nationalities protect and support each but Zimbabweans it's constant competition amongst each to outdo,outshine and be better than others.Even in diaspora Zimbabweans are the most disorganised d divided community.The Congolese,Nigerian ,somalians are community focused and show more solidarity than self interested Zimbaweans.This why Zimbabwe is dysfunctional and Zimbabwean diaspora community ,esp in South Africa,will continue being left being whilst other communities prosper.
