HARARE – Fresh from his stint on America’s Got Talent, Zimbabwean comedian Learnmore Jonasi is set to thrill his local fans when he performs at Theatre in the Park at Harare Gardens on Thursday evening.
The show, which is being promoted by Pieces Peaces Entertainment as part of the park’s Comedy Thursdays, is set to start at 7pm.
The show will be Jonasi’s last before a tour that is going to take him to Johannesburg, Cape Town, New York, Chicago, Washington, Illinois, Texas, Saint Louis, Tampa and Phoenix.
For his show on Thursday, Jonasi will be supported by Tanya Alex, Patrick Zindoga, and Frank Chirisa.
Jonasi had a valiant campaign during this year’s AGT competition, only falling short at the final hurdle.
Instead, the winner of AGT Season 19 was singer Richard Goodall, who triumphed over nine other competitors to claim the crown.
After the public voted for their favourite act, only one could collect the goods at the NBC talent competition hosted by Terry Crews.
Jonasi, who carried the hopes of Zimbabwe, fell short but can hold his head high after finishing in the Top 5 alongside Solange Kardinaly (Quick change artist), Sky Elements (Drone act), Roni Sagi & Rhythm (Dog act), and the eventual winner, Goodall.
