Former Dynamos FC midfielder Ronald Chitiyo has reunited with coach Kalisto Pasuwa at FC Nyasa Big Bullets.

Rooney, as Chitiyo is nicknamed put pen to paper to sign a three year deal with the Malawian giants.

“FCB Nyasa Big Bullets can confirm the signing of Zimbabwean midfielder Ronald Chitiyo on a three-year deal,” confirmed Bullets on Wednesday.

The 31-year-old reunites with Pasuwa who mentored him both at Dynamos and in the national team.

Chitiyo joined Bullets as a free agent after his release by the cash rich Simba Bhora at the start of the 2024 season.

The ex-CAPS United, Harare City and Monomotapa FC star agreed to a deal with Bullets after spending three weeks of pre-season training with the club.

His contract runs until March 2027.

Reacting to the new deal, said Chitiyo: “I am very happy to join one of the biggest teams in Malawi. With my experience, I want to lead these youngsters because I saw that [FCB Nyasa] Big Bullets have many youngsters, so with my experience, I will try by all means to help them.

“Malawian football is now more competitive than before and the intensity here is high and I am very happy to join this league.

“[On the other hand] it’s a challenge to me because Bullets have been winning before and for me to be part of them it means they should keep on winning.

“Playing football outside your country is an achievement because it’s not easy for people to accept you when you are coming from another country.”

Chitiyo’s arrival means he joins fellow countrymen Collin Mujuru who signed for Bullets last month after leaving Premier Soccer League side Herentals.
