Yadah FC’s Brazilian trio offloaded; fitness level a concern, could not adjust

HARARE – Yadah Football Club’s youthful Brazilian trio that arrived in July 2023 on a two year deal each, was recently offloaded, Nehanda Radio can reveal.

According to a source, the three failed to adjust (acclimatise) and also their fitness level was a concern.

“They went back to Brazil, their fitness level was a concern and besides, they could not adjust,” said the source.

Joao Pedro Marques Barcellos born 23 April 2003, Deivid Pereira De Brito (12 January 2003) and Juan Luciano Farias (16 April 2002) were unveiled at Yadah Hotel, Harare last season.

Speaking at the unveiling in July 2023, Yadah FC owner Prophet, Magaya said: “We want to welcome these Brazilian players whom we expect will change the face of domestic league. They will certainly add value to Yadah FC.”

However, Magaya’s ambition hit a snag as the trio was shown the exit door.

The South Americans are not part of Yadah FC’s 2024 squad.
