HARARE – Multi Millionaire businessman Phillip Chiyangwa on Friday visited Ambassador Uebert Angel’s 6 400-seater Harare Hippodrome and spent time with President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Presidential Envoy and Ambassador at Large.

Its Chiyangwa’s third visit at the Hippodrome which has become a focal point for prominent figures to meet with the Spirit Embassy: GoodNews Church founder.

In July 2023, Chiyangwa visited the site with Angel revealing that the Pinnacle Holdings mogul shared “his exceptional depth of knowledge in the realm of the real estate market.”

Only last week United Family International Church (UFIC) founder Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa also visited his perceived rival at the Hippodrome in pictures that surprised many but were celebrated as representing “brotherly communion and shared divine pursuits.”

After Makandiwa’s visit Angel tweeted: “Upon the last Monday’s serene morn, in the grandeur of Harare Hippodrome’s hallowed halls, I shared the esteemed company of my dear brother, Prophet Emmanuel Makandiwa.

“Our conversation, a tapestry woven with threads of brotherly communion and shared divine pursuits, soared over the vast terrain of Christianity’s robust sway through our homelands and across the celestial globe.

“We delved, with earnest intent, into how our actions are steering, piloting and shepherding the hearts of the masses toward the exalted realm of spiritual ethos and and virtues. Such was the splendor of engaging with his sagacious mind on a panoply of topics.

“Standing on the shoulders of bygone visionaries, our gazes are cast forth with unwavering hope – the future blossoms with verdant promise; the future is unequivocally GREEN!,” Angel wrote.

The breaking of the ground for the construction of the Harare Hippodrome was conducted by President Emmerson Mnangagwa and the Zanu PF leader has visited the Hippodrome several times.

The Hippodrome is currently being fitted with state of the art seats that are expected to transform the venue into a world class facility.

HARARE - The Government of Zimbabwe has defended its decision to compensate Pinnacle Holdings, a company owned by Zanu-PF businessman Phillip Chiyangwa, with over 180 hectares of prime land across Harare, worth more than US$40 million, citing a value-for-value basis for the transaction.
