HARARE – Castle Lager Premier Soccer League (CLPSL) giants Dynamos have secured the signing of Zimbabwe national team goalkeeper Martin Mapisa.

The 25-year-old shot-stopper, a product of the Aces Youth Soccer Academy, has reportedly penned a two-year deal with the Glamour Boys.

Mapisa is seen as a direct replacement for Taimon Mvula who left DeMbare to join ‘cash rich’ Simba Bhora in January.

While official confirmation from the club or player is still pending, Mapisa is listed on Dynamos’ 2024 squad roster which was announced on Tuesday.

Mapisa will vie for the starting position along with Wilson Makoni and Prince Tafiremutsa.

His arrival has prompted the loan departure of Frank Kuchineyi who was the team’s third choice last season.

The former Zamora and Malaga goalie was part of the Warriors squad that played World Cup qualifiers against Rwanda and Nigeria in November 2023.

What has led him to come back home , @25 is it not too early?, would have thought he should have tried to secure a contract in other leagues abroad.
