HARARE – Controversial gold dealer and Mabvuku-Tafara MP Pedzai Scott Sakupwanya has been forced to dismiss rumours that his mental health is now being affected by an addiction to cocaine.
An X (formerly Twitter) account called COZWVA (official handle of Children of Zimbabwe War Veterans Association) wrote that “unconfirmed rumour says Mabvuku Tafara MP now mentality challenged due to too much drug intake….. How true is this information???
Another social media commentator had alleged that a drug addiction had now started to affect Sakupwanya’s mental faculties.
“News coming from the grapevine is that this man is not feeling well and it is believed that he is mentally challenged, maybe due to a high intake of cocaine, or maybe could have been bewitched by a visiting old man from Malawi.
“Hanzi ari kugara akotosungwa ne waya. Let us pray for him,” the commentator wrote on X.
Businessman Victor Matiyenga, who owns Exquisite Cars Zimbabwe, famous for being the supplier of cars being donated to celebrities by businessman Wicknell Chivayo, spoke to Sakupwanya and he reportedly rebuffed all suggestions that he was struggling with a drug addiction.
“I had the opportunity to meet Mabvuku MP (Scott Kupa) 2day [22 February 2023] at Sam Levy’s Village ndikati “Mukoma murikunzi murikupenga pa Twitter kaa”.
“His reply “Vic wakamboona munhu anopenga anofamba ne latest Range Rover?? Usateerere tunyaya twevanhu vaChamisa unofa nenhamo munin’ina,” Matiyenga said.
