Khama Billiat could reunite with Pitso Mosimane in Saudi Arabia – report

Former Zimbabwe international Khama Billiat whose career at Kaizer Chiefs remains uncertain and could come to an end, is now being linked with a reunion with his former coach Pitso Mosimane in Saudi Arabia.

This comes after multiple reports from South Africa suggest that the attacker is linked with a move to Saudi Arabian club Al-Ahli who are coached by Mosimane.

According to South African publication Sunday World “Billiat’s days at Kaizer Chiefs are numbered and his services have been offered to Pitso Mosimane’s club Al-Ahli in Saudi Arabia.”

A source that spoke to the publication said: “His [Billiat] contract will definitely not be renewed at Chiefs”.

Billiat who was recently ruled out for the remainder of the 2022/23 season with a torn groin muscle injury is left with four months on his contract with Amakhosi.

His contract expires in June but the club is yet to negotiate for a new deal with the 32-year-old forward and this has worsened his situation.

A move to Saudi Arabia to reunite with Mosimane who signed him from Ajax Cape Town in 2013, worked together for seasons and won various silverwares including the CAF Champions League in 2016 could help Billiat revive his career.
