The Warriors need at least a draw in their last match to seal a place at the Afcon finals set for Egypt from June 15 to July 13, 2019 as a defeat will see them bow out on head-to-head basis should the other match between the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Liberia produce a winner.

Sunday Chidzambwa’s charges head into Sunday’s match sitting at the top of Group G with eight points ahead of Liberia, who have seven points, while the Democratic Republic of Congo and Congo are on six and five points respectively.

All the four teams in the group still have a chance of qualifying for the tournament and speaking soon after touching down at the Robert Mugabe International Airport yesterday afternoon ahead of the crucial tie; Billiat stressed the importance of going for an outright win.

Billiat alongside goalkeeper George Chigove, striker Evans Rusike and Teenage Hadebe were the first bunch of foreign-based nationals to arrive yesterday afternoon while others were scheduled to arrive late yesterday ahead of today’s first training session.

“It will be nice if we look at it in a different way that we want to win. We want to win and qualify in style. It will be really satisfying to finish at the top of the table. It will be good if we go for an outright win and make the nation proud,” Billiat told the Daily News.

“This is a very important game were we need to do everyone proud. It’s not about individuals but it’s about the nation.”

The Kaizer Chiefs forward said playing at home is an added advantage for the team and has called on the nation to come in their numbers and rally behind the team.

“We thank God this fixture is at home and I hope the whole nation will come in numbers to rally behind the boys. As players we always express ourselves better when we know the whole nation is behind us. I think we have quite a group of talented individuals, who can do the job,” Billiat said. DailyNews
