Protests scuttle AirZim audit

Protests by former Air Zimbabwe (AirZim) workers have forced the International Air Transport Association (Iata) to indefinitely postpone a scheduled audit of the beleaguered national airline.

Two people have drowned in Matabeleland South province while fishing and attempting to drive cattle across a dam. A 17-year-old from Filabusi drowned after he attempted to drive cattle across a dam while holding onto the tail of a cow.

School term shortened to 11 weeks

The first school term calendar which in the past has been 13 weeks, has this year been shortened to 11 weeks.Schools opened on January 9 and will close on March 28 yet in the past schools used to close during the first week of April.

Govt recruits for Plumtree highway fence

Machaya further remanded

Former Minister of State for Midlands Provincial Affairs, Jason Machaya, who is facing allegations of criminal abuse of office, has been further remanded to February 20 after the State requested more time to proffer charges against him.

Maid (19) steals $9 800, jailed

A domestic worker stunned a Zvishavane court last week when she claimed she stole $9 800 from her employer at the instigation of her husband whom she was reportedly having an affair with. Kimberly Makumbe (19) was jailed for 30 months by Zvishavane resident magistrate Mr Archie Wochiunga after she was convicted of stealing from her employer, Mrs Harukudzai Gore, of Platinum Park.

When businessman Genius Kadungure aka Ginimbi flaunted his R4 million Bentley car he had Twitter in stitches not because of the car but that Bentley manufactured its own iPads and that they are not from Apple Inc.
