Sudan says militia leader Musa Hilal arrested

Sudanese authorities have arrested a powerful militia leader suspected of human rights abuses in the Darfur region. Musa Hilal was detained after fighting with Sudanese forces near his hometown in North Darfur, state media reports.

Insult law still remains in force

While a number of citizens were arrested and dragged to the courts after being accused of undermining the authority of or insulting former President Robert Mugabe, even as he is gone, that law is still intact.

Chombo to be held in custody until trial
