Tinashe buys a Ferrari after dismissing reports she’s dating Calvin Harris

She made headlines when she was rumored to be dating Calvin Harris following his split from Taylor Swift. But after dismissing the reports, singer Tinashe Kachingwe has more important things on her mind – not least her brand new ride.

Ahead of her Joyride studio album release, the singer opened up about her big time purchase – a Ferrari.

For her Marie Claire shoot, the star showed off a couture pose, clad in a striped sweater and skirt.

‘I just got a new car: Ferrari California, black with a red interior,’  said Tinashe, 23.

‘I’ve actually wanted a Ferrari California since I was 16. Okay—it was mostly about the look,’ she admitted.

The Kentucky native revealed that her mum still gets nervous when she takes the wheel, even though she’s been driving since she was a teen.

‘I got my license at 17. My dad taught me. When I drive with my mom, she’s always nervous. I’m like, ‘Relax!”

She also raved about her driver’s license picture.

‘My driver’s license photo is bomb. Every time I go to the DMV, I’m like, ‘Can we reuse that photo?’ I was serving face.’

Tinashe, who co-wrote three track on Fifth Harmony’s current album, made headlines when it was reported that she was dating Calvin Harris.

Despite the news the two were in a relationship, the songstress has since denied the claims.

‘I mean, I’m still definitely single, so that’s all that we’re at right now,’ she admitted to E!.

 As for which side she’s on in regards to the Taylor and Calvin feud, she steered clear of any drama.

 ‘I can’t pick sides, I’m neutral! I’m Switzerland!’
