Zanu PF government:  A regime whose ‘End Time’ has come

By Silas Memory Madondo

There is a Shona dictum that goes, “Ukaona gudo rotota mahobi ziva kuti mubvumbi wabvira kare” ZANU PF government is now a liability. There is no doubt that the ZANU PF regime is gone and plans by this dead regime are under way to reintroduce Zim$ in the name of ‘bond notes’.

Silas Memory Madondo

The main aim of introducing bond notes (Zim$) is to print and photocopy enough money to pay civil servants, minister of finance may have other reasons to convince Zimbabweans but the truth is, the ZANU PF government is broke.

The ZANU PF government is no longer trusted even by their friends in the region/globally and that will make it difficult for them to be rescued from the current cash crisis.

ZANU PF is known for cheating and rigging elections and we cannot therefore afford to allow them to control bond notes because of their evil history of corruption, cheating and rigging. The aim of Chinamasa and Dr. Gono’s predecessor is to photocopy bond notes in the name of SATAN.

In my own opinion and projection, Zimbabwe is likely to collapse before November 2016. The regime has decided to pay army and police first, but the strategy won’t last, because it is a good example of a firefighting solution.

If the financial situation continues like this, schools in Zimbabwe may fail to open in September 2016 and demonstrations across Zimbabwe will eventually become the order of the day. The Zimbabweans are now ready to face this regime head on, but the opposition in Zimbabwe is failing to take advantage of the boiling temperature within citizens.

People may want to guess what is going to happen in the event that the regime fails to collect enough revenue to pay salaries, there maybe three options in ZANU PF bag of lies, and the opposition has to be vigilant;

The first option shall be for the regime to consider printing and photocopying bond notes (Zim$) likely to be introduced in August 2016. This may increase the life expectancy of ZANU regime by some weeks because of the hounding memories of Dr. Gono era.

This option is already facing resistance from all Zimbabweans across the political divide and the business community. It is dangerous to investors’ confidence. Investing in ZANU PF’s Zimbabwe is like throwing one’s money into the sea.

The second option will be to tricky MDCs into a coalition government again and the regime is capable of deceiving MDCs again. This is the time for MDCs to come up with strategies to counter this option in case the regime decided to employ the strategy again.

The last option shall be for the regime to call for an early election. This option is likely to be accepted by opposition forces in Zimbabwe but can be a dangerous strategy if the electoral commission and rules are not changed.

The strategy can be also dangerous if the democratic forces opt to include Dr. Mujuru and ZPF on board. I am still convinced that ZPF is the other side of the evil ZANU PF regime. I hate the Mujuru camp more than ZANU PF. They should build confidence in us so that we can give them the much needed support. They wasted their chance and we need people with new ideology. ZPF is an old wine in a new bottle.

Possibility of MDCs’ Coalition with Mujuru’s ZPF

I wrote quite a number of articles castigating the coalition of ZPF and MDCs and I want to strengthen my position again. ZPF leadership should not be trusted by MDCs. Today, media reports are claiming that, Jimmy Kunaka and some of his ZPF members are going back to ZANU PF. This is because all ZPF leaders are ZANU PF by DNA and we expect more (ZPF members) in the coming weeks to go back to ZANU PF.

The current economic crisis has shown that, ZANU PF has no strength and support base and if the economy is to collapse, it means ZANU PF has failed the Zimbabweans and there would be no possibility of ZANU PF wining under free and fair election. There is no need for a coalition with ZPF to face a dead regime.

The MDCs should have unity of purpose because what we need is their common ideology despite their thriving differences. I can’t imaging   Mutasa, Gumbo, Mujuru etc sitting in the cabinet in the post ZANU PF era debating about land reform, Gukurahundi in Matebeland and other evils committed by ZANU PF regime with genuine and free minds. MDCs will be bringing problems to democracy by accepting ZPF to be part of them.

We need Mujuru and ZPF to be a strong opposition to MDCs government during the post ZANU PF era. MDCs have been competing with a hard core dictator government since 2000 and there is need to work harder in order to finish off this long journey

Way Forward for Opposition Forces in Zimbabwe

The opposition forces should study the above options and come up with the strategies to counter the strengths of this dying regime. The MDCs seem not to be prepared to take the regime head on; the spokesperson of the MDC T was recently quoted by the media saying that the army will soon revolt against the regime. This is the time for the opposition to lead the masses to the ‘Promised Land’ and not to wait for the army because the regime is working hard to neutralize the security agents. Questions may be asked;

In the event that, the regime will print and photocopy Zim$ to increase its life expectancy, what will be the counter strategy of MDCs?

If ZANU PF decides to deceive MDCs into unholy coalition government, what will be their counter strategy?

If the regime decides to call for an early election, what will be the strategy of MDCs to ensure free and fair election?

In the event that Dr. Mujuru and ZPF want to join coalition of political parties, what would be the position of democratic forces?

The opposition parties in Zimbabwe should be prepared for anything to happen. They are dealing with the regime with a bag full of tricks and should therefore open their eyes. Biti, Madhuku, Chamisa and Prof. Ncube should direct much of their efforts in fighting the ZANU PF regime RATHER THAN focusing on COURT cases. We do not know whether Prof. Ncube is still a political leader or a practicing lawyer/political analyst or dead. He should go back to fulltime politics.

Conclusion

I want to pay tribute to the gallant son of Zimbabwe PASTOR EVAN MAWARIRE for taking the position of our opposition parties during this time of need. Your comments and encouragement to the protestors in Beitbridge are welcome.

Your call for ‘Stay Away’ was successful, may God protects you from the evil hand of ZANU PF, be strong and courageous like JESUS and Tsvangirai. Even if ‘THEY’ want to force you to go to heaven, God has already reserved your place in paradise. This is high time for opposition leaders in Zimbabwe to work hand in glove with the MOSES of our period.
