Several sources claim that while Angel’s wife Beverley arrived via Harare International Airport, Prophet Angel had instead chosen to travel by road from South Africa. We also understand Angel was moving around with bodyguards.

The charismatic preacher had been unable to go back to Zimbabwe since a court case broke out involving a Harare businessman who claimed he was duped into giving his Bentley to the man of the cloth on the promise he would reap threefold.

Mr Ndabazinengi Shava, the director of Faith Age Holdings Zimbabwe, told the court that Prophet Angel after selling his vehicle to one Phebion, relocated to the United Kingdom and blocked any communication with him.

All this was revealed during the trial of Anderson Tagara who was accused of aiding Angel in defrauding Shava of his vehicle valued at $300 000.

The case was eventually dismissed in June last year after the plaintiff failed to provide enough proof to show he was defrauded.

An arrest warrant issued against Angel was subsequently cancelled.

Angel has since changed the name of his church from Spirit Embassy to The Good News Church. He says he is currently on a global crusade to grow his church outside Zimbabwe.
