Sulu has started sampling some of his new tracks on the forthcoming album during live performances with “Ndiani Arasa Mwana” and “Not Necessary”, proving to be his fan’s favourite.

In an interview after his Dandaro show last Friday, Sulu through his publicist Joe Nyamungoma, said the response to his new album had been good.

“It is pleasing to see our fans dancing and singing along. As if that is not enough, they are even asking us to replay the songs that are on the album which is yet to be released.

“To us this is something positive and encouraging,’’ he said.

He added that people must look forward to an explosive album.

“We are doing everything in our power to come up with the best album this year and if what is happening during live shows is anything to go by, then we are in the right direction and we can safely say the album is going to be a hit,” he said.

Sulu last released an album two years ago, Gunship, which showed his versatility and expansive lyrical depth.

The yet to be named album is likely to take the young crooner to a new level as he continues on the path to becoming his own man, at least judging by his live performances so far. The album has seven tracks. The Herald
