Rivals Stunner and Mudiwa bury the hatchet… release song together
One of Zimbabwe’s nastiest hip hop rivalries was officially buried this week when rappers Desmond “Stunner” Chideme and Mudiwa “Hood” Mutandwa released a song they did together called “Kunamata”.
For years now the two have been trading vicious barbs and diss songs. Relations have since warmed up between the two culminating in the unthinkable happening, a collabo between two of the most flamboyant characters in the hip hop game.
Speaking to Nehanda Radio, Mudiwa said “This is strictly an evangelical song to preach Jesus Christ to all ends…. You can’t say unonamata when u do not even worship with each other…. it encourages people to go to church.”
So how did the two vicious rivals get to do a collabo?
“God’s doing, we found ourselves in the Studio with the help of Prophet Passion Java who is a good friend to both of us and we decided to do a 1st song to invite people to church.”
“It was a hustle but Jesu haapikiswe,” Stunner told Nehanda Radio. He also confirmed the key role played by Prophet Java in making the collabo possible.
