The man behind the popular Zvirikufaya na Kedha Facebook Page is reported to have lost his mother during his wedding ceremony.
Two weeks ago Curtis Smith a.k.a Kedha is reported to have travelled to Zimbabwe from his base in Canada to marry his sweetheart, Afton Dhana.
According to those present, Kedha’s mother, Claudia Boby Senekal, collapsed and died during the wedding ceremony.
Guests only realised what had happened when the couple had just exchanged their vows.
Socialite Summer Rose, a friend of Kedha, on Monday set up a GoFundMe me campaign to raise money for “chema” (condolences) and so far £3000 has been raised.
“Zimbabweans I must tell you, I am so proud and so touched by the kindness you have shown Curtis and Afton so far. This beautiful spirit of oneness right here makes me so proud to be Zimbabwean!” Summer Rose wrote on her Facebook page.
“I’m so proud that our culture raised us to lend a hand to a friend in need and recognising that we all need a little help sometimes.
