BULAWAYO – The MDC-T deputy national organising secretary and former junior minister in the inclusive government Thamsanqa Mahlangu has died.
The Secretary General for the Movement for Democratic Change (MDC-T) Douglas Mwonzora has confirmed Mahlangu’s death saying;
“He succumbed to cancer early this morning in Bulawayo. We have been robbed of one of the most fearless fighter for democracy.
“A member of our standing committee and a long-serving cadre who also served as an MP for Nkulumane as well as national youth chairperson.”
During the shaky coalition government of 2009-2013, Mahlangu served as Deputy Minister of Youth Development, Indigenisation and Empowerment.
He is a former MP for Nkulumane and also former Chairman of the MDC-T Youth wing.
