Fans were calling for the return of former coach Stuart Baxter and striker Kingston Nkhatha following a 1-0 defeat by Ajax Cape Town.

Motaung urged the supporters to stop posting ‘nonsense’ on her Facebook page but to show some respect for Steve Komphela.

It was a first loss of the season for reigning PSL champions at Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium over the weekend.

“Guys please don’t post this nonsense on my page- support your coach. Baxter is no longer in our employ, Nkatha too! No team is about 1 player,” said Motaung on her Facebook page.

“I have a lot of respect for Baxter, but Steve is our coach now- show some respect!! Don’t kick your team when they are down. I am not happy with our players and how they performed yesterday.”

“Chiefs is a winning brand, no matter who coaches us! Full stop. I am open to your opinions, but don’t start something negative that will affect our team.”

Chiefs welcome the University of Pretoria in a match that is expected to produce fireworks at the FNB Stadium on Wednesday evening, kick-off is at 19:30. Sowetan
